Seating issues – and League Standings Update

Hey y’all,

FIRST: one item of housekeeping.  Some teams have complained that on some nights, it’s impossible to get seats if you’re not ludicrously early, due to massive amounts of table saving.  And I understand that some teams don’t have anyone who can make it to the bar by 5:30.  So, I’ve been trying to brainstorm about how to solve this problem.  My suggestion – which I’ll welcome feedback on – is that teams can’t fully reserve two whole tables if other teams arrive looking for seats UNLESS they have enough people physically present for two tables – say, 5 people.  Thus, they could hold two tables but if someone else came and needed a table, they’d have to give one up unless they have 5 there.  I’m open to other suggestions (and all changes will be at the discretion of the Stetson management) but those are my thoughts to make seating a little less ludicrous on busy days, and I’d like to hear yours.

So, with the league final now less than a month away – it’ll be February 19, barring future changes – it’s time for another league standings update.  Remember the rules:
-6 pts for 1st place finishes, 5 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, 2 for every other team that shows up
-you get one freebie in terms of attendance – that is, every team that has missed a night gets 2 points added to their score (THIS IS INCLUDED BELOW)
-The league title is decided by the following scores: (half the team’s league points going into the final night) PLUS (team’s raw score on the final night)

Anyway, the standings (if you have point grubbing on this, talk to me tonight or email me):

Suck It 45.5
TST 39
Tuesday Heartbreak 38
Genius Club 26.5
Molly Getting Stuffed All Year Long 19.5
Capital Brainshare 18
Ann Romney 18
South Africa/Don’t Tickle Me 17
Hermaphrodite Barbie 16.5
My Couch Pulls Out… 16
Team China 10
Seamus 10

See y’all soon!

I think limiting table saving would be beneficial – especially on the high top tables in the corner, which it would be easy for two teams to use (even big ones) if latecomers stand or people rotate seats.
